REVIEW OF SUDIO TOLV

Sudio Tolv, one of the latest additions to the earphone collections of Sudio. It is also my third set of earphones from Sudio. I have previously reviewed Sudio Tre and Sudio Niva.
Sudio Tolv is the sibling Sudio Niva, both look pretty identical without their casing. Their physical differences are very subtle.
Aesthetics
Even though Sudio is renowned for its minimalistic yet classy packaging, clean and neat design, Tolv stands out in this aspect. Almost the size of an egg, Tolv in its charging case fits into almost any pockets, making it so portable. The shape of Tolv earbuds is oval, it fits into the ear canal more comfortably for longer wear. The control button on the earbud is definitely bigger, which makes it more practical.
In terms of colours, besides having Black, White and Pink, Tolv has 2 more colours to choose from: Green and Pastel Blue.
Ease of Use
Setting up the Bluetooth connection now becomes even easier. Once removed from the charging case, the Tolv earbuds automatically power up and are ready to be paired/connected with the device. To end the usage, simply place the earbuds back to the charging case. The magnetic case flap closes well, preventing the earbuds from dropping and maintaining them constantly charged when they are in the charging case.
As Tolv’s Bluetooth version is 5.0, it means you can choose to listen to the audio individually. Each earbud also comes with a built-in microphone. This is great in situations when you only wear it on one side when driving.

While the Niva is impressive enough to boast a total 17.5 hours of playtime, Tolv makes a jaw-dropping of 35 hours (double of Niva)! The earbuds promise 7 hours of playtime with an extra 4 charges in the charging case. With such impressive battery power, it is most suitable for long haul flights. For my kind of usage, I could even go without the need to recharge them for at least a week!
Sound Quality
There is a jump in terms of sound quality in Tolv when compared to Niva as the earbuds are equipped with a graphene driver for enhanced sound clarity. But it is still not as crisp as Sudio Tre, still a little murky for my preference. It really depends on the genres of music that you are listening to, for general leisure purpose, Tolv will pass the sound quality with flying colours. But, if you intend to use it for professional purposes or all out to rock, then Tolv might not live up to your expectations.
