Kuala Lumpur & Ipoh Trip

We went to KL & Ipoh on 3 Sep & were there for about a week to visit AJ's paternal grandparents. The father suggested that we should travel to Ipoh as well since we would be in M'sia for a week & there was nothing much to do in KL. So to Ipoh we went ... ...

We saw this Hello Kitty Kechil on Ipoh street & I thought I should take some photos of it. Apparently, it is part of the Hari Raya Celebration, very much like our 'Chingay'. Kitty fans out there, wont you just melt seeing these?

The Ipoh trip was a 2D/2N stay in Tune Hotel (operated by Air Asia). It is a budget hotel but new, thus I do not mind (I was concerned about bed bugs). It was a bearable stay. The room was tiny & having 3 persons squeezing into a queeze-size bed is not that fun. Ipoh's food was glorious, & the portion was petite - much to my delight, so that I wont feel that guilty being glutton.

We went to Gua Tempurung, Ipoh's famous limestone cave, on the 1st day. It was a pleasant walk into the cave. Having a 6YO with us meant that we were not able to be too adventurous in our 'trekking'. So, we took the easiest walk - the Golden Flowstone.

We proceeded to The Lost World of Tambun the next day. It was not exactly a super fun theme park. There were not many exciting rides. The highlight for the boy was perhaps the Swan Ride :(

The father asked if I would like to visit Ipoh again. What do you think?
