POSB Smiley Child Development Account

[Media Invite]

No thanks to USA’s Quantitative Easing (QE) policies, and a few countries who joined in subsequently, the interest rates are in their all-time low.  The money you put into the bank to save could not keep up with the rising inflation rate.

But thanks to POSB, which is launching *Child Development Accounts (CDAs) with an interest of 2% p.a. for the entire duration.  It is, thus far, the highest interest rate on CDAs offered. This interest rate will be available to all new CDAs opened with POSB, including CDAs that parents choose to switch from other banks. You simply have to apply or switch to “POSB Smiley CDA” at the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) Baby Bonus Portal at:
www.babybonus.msf.gov.sg/parent

*Child Development Account (CDA) is a special savings account for your newborn with dollar-for-dollar matching from the government.
